The Fortune article added that as of June 30, Proterra had 110 orders for its buses, which can cost up to $800,000 for customers that choose to buy the battery packs. Customers can also choose to buy a bus and lease the batteries for roughly $550,000. The 60 first generation buses have already been delivered and are on the road in Los Angeles and San Joaquin counties in Calif., as well as San Antonio, Texas, and Nashville, Tenn.
