On Saturday, Strongwell, the world leader in pultrusion, was featured in the latest live episode of PBS’ “Made in Virginia” series. As PBS explains, the premise of the show is to reveal “the raw materials, processes, machinery, distribution, and the enterprising individuals who invent, produce, and build today’s highly valued Virginia products.”

As the video explains, each day, Strongwell manufactures over 100,000 of ladder rail. The company’s pultruded products are also used for highway bridges, oil rigs, decking, fencing, utility poles and more. It also outlines the benefits of pultruded fiberglass, such as corrosion resistance and high strength-to-weight ratios, and takes you through the details of the pultrusion process itself.
