CAMX – the Composites and Advanced Materials Expo – will be held Sept. 23-26 in Anaheim, Calif. Presented in collaboration by ACMA and the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE), CAMX is where the composites and advanced materials communities meet to discover the latest products, solutions, and advanced industry technology, and to get business done!
Learn at CAMX
With more than 200 educational sessions, there’s something for everyone at CAMX 2019. Designed for industry professionals at all levels and backgrounds, sessions will cover hot topics in the industry, including sustainability, market growth, workforce training, and consumer markets.
The kick-off general session features Vicki Holt, president and CEO of Protolabs, challenging attendees to rethink the way manufacturing is done – from robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) to 3D printing and prototyping.
The closing luncheon invites attendees to interact with a panel of industry experts, led by Max Thouin of Hexcel, discussing equipment trends in sports, how athletes are taking notice of the “composites difference,” and how sporting goods companies are responding by incorporating composites into their products.
Network at CAMX
Networking is at its best at CAMX at planned social events and in the exhibit hall.
Tom Dobbins, president of ACMA, said, “To see such a diverse group of industry professionals building relationships during this event that they can take with them long after they travel home is not only rewarding but necessary to grow the industry even further.”
In the CAMX exhibit hall, attendees can enjoy the Innovation Park, comprised of zones allowing for networking, learning and lighthearted competition. The intimate and interactive “campfire sessions” on trending industry topics are not to be missed.
Interact at CAMX
The heart of the event is the exhibit hall. Areas of focus include composites manufacturing, thermoplastics composites, additive manufacturing, and composites recycling.
Whether attendees are looking for new techniques and equipment, want to see live and interactive demonstrations, or are searching for the latest materials, it’s all available on the exhibit hall floor. And the in-person connections made by attendees within the halls of CAMX are inspiring and beneficial.
See and interact with the best of the best as all entries in the 2019 Awards for Composites Excellence (ACE), sponsored by Composites One, and the CAMX Awards, sponsored by Ashland, will be located in the exhibit hall.
Additive Manufacturing Conference at CAMX
CAMX is co-locating with the Additive Manufacturing Conference presented by CompositesWorld and Additive Manufacturing Media. The half-day seminar is designed to help attendees understand the current state of the art in continuous fiber and large-format additive manufacturing, as well as provide a glimpse of where and how these technologies are evolving to meet the needs of high-performance parts and structures.
