“We’re already getting calls from a lot of wind energy folks,” said Anthony Viselli, the manager of the facility and project manager of its equipment’s construction. “There’s no facility that can do this right now.”
Professor Dagher is no stranger to composites innovation. He was also the lead inventor behind the award-winning “Bridge in a Backpack” technology – composite technology that consists of inflatable tubes that can fit into a backpack. Recently, his team was granted $3.7 from the U.S. Department of Energy for a groundbreaking offshore wind project.
