When it comes to powering the Prolog, a 250 watt, 36v rear hub motor, part of the Mahle X35+ smart ebike system embedded throughout the frame, assists the ebike to reach speeds of up to 20 mph. The Mahle mobile app tracks data for the rider and integrates with Strava, a popular app for runners and cyclists. The Prolog’s range averages 45 miles with an external battery available as an upgrade that increases range by up to 70%.
The ebike also features an 11-speed Shimano GRX drivetrain. The Di2 shifting system solves issues that cyclists come across in power-delivery by providing fast shifts at the press of a button even when climbing.
LeMond even offers carbon fiber mudguards with the Prolog. The Prolog will be available in late February at a base price of $4,500.
