“Homeowners immediately started building with wood again. It just doesn’t make any sense,” Inglese says. Unlike many wood homes, the GFRP house in Naples features a Class A 30-minute fire rating, thanks to an intumescent fire coating.
“We want contractors and designers to understand there’s better ways to build and to be open to new technologies,” says Inglese.
